What is a BrewFest and how does it work?
The Summer BrewFest is a fantastic beer tasting festival in which you receive a sampling glass and 6 sampling tickets included in your admission price (assuming you’re 21 or older). The glass is 4.75 oz. and will be filled accordingly, giving you a 4 to 4.5 oz. pour. Beers will cost 1 ticket and additional tickets can be purchased during the festival for $2.00 per ticket.
Is my admisson ticket good for both days?
No. Your admission ticket is good for one day only, however which day you choose to come is up to you. UNLESS you purchase a “special offer” one day only ticket which is valid only on that day!
Do I need an ID?
Yes. Valid identification is required for admission to the event.
Do you have a Designated Driver Ticket program?
Yes, the DD program is available for attendees 16 and older. Free water and soda is included in the price of this ticket.
How many drinks are included with the Designated Driver ticket? (seriously, it is asked at least once every festival!)
NO DRINKS are included with the Designated Driver ticket. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price of the Designated Driver ticket.
Can my band play at the BrewFest?
Maybe! Performer packets and submissions are accepted from January 15 through February 28 for the Summer Brewfest. Submit electronic materials to firstname.lastname@example.org and non-electronic materials to Music Coordinator, The High Road, Inc., P. O. Box 2056, Springfield, VA 22152.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No. Outside food and beverage will not be allowed into the event. After all, we are going to provide plenty of opportunities to try great food and drink while you’re here! NOTE: Bottled water and baby food are permitted.
Can I purchase beer to take home?
No. This is a keg event our ABC license prohibits sales for consumption off-site.
Is Food and Drink included in my ticket price?
Yes and No! (Yes) Six (6) beer sampling tickets are included with the admission ticket purchased online or at the gate and additional sampling tickets are available for $2.00. (No) Food is purchased separately from our variety of vendors. Food prices typically range from about $4-$10 depending on the item purchased. (NOTE: discounted and promotional admission tickets DO NOT INCLUDE SAMPLING TICKETS.)
Do you accept credit card payments at the gate for admission to the festival?
Yes. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express & Discover.
Will there be an ATM on-site?
Yes. There will be at least one ATM on-site. It is located in the area convenient to the food booths and beer sampling tents.
Can I bring my children?
Definitely. We have a Family Fun Area dedicated to children including moon bounces, facepainting and a balloon twister. Children 15 and under accompanied by an adult are FREE.
How much are children’s tickets?
Children 15 years of age and under accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge. Most of the activities in the Family Fun area are also free. No ticket is required for children 15 years of age or under accompanied by an adult to enter the event.
Can I bring my pet?
No, we do not allow pets except for assistance animals.
Can I leave my car overnight?
Yes, if you need to leave your car overnight it is okay. Better safe than sorry!
Will there be Taxicabs available after the event?
We have alerted the local cab companies that our event is taking place and they will be on hand as available. If a cab is not immediately available we will assist you in securing a cab.
Can I bring my own chairs, blankets, etc?
Yes, please feel free to bring beach chairs, blankets, and the like to set up and enjoy the bands. Please don’t bring coolers though. Also, please be considerate of other festival goers when setting up – especially a tent.
What happens if it rains?
Rain? On a brewfest? NEVER! The Summer BrewFest is a rain or shine event.
How do I get a press pass?
Working media will be admitted by presenting proper credentials at the Box Office. Media admission will not include beer tickets.
Can I volunteer at the BrewFest?
ABSOLUTELY! Interested volunteers can submit a simple application to work at the BrewFest. Volunteers will receive admission to the festival and a t-shirt. For more information about Volunteering.
Can I get paid to work at the BrewFest?
A limited number of paid opportunities may be available for work during the week leading up to the BrewFest, during the event itself, and/or following the event. Please contact us if you are interested.
Are discounted group tickets available?
Yes, discounted group tickets are available for groups of 20 or more and must be purchased at one time to qualify for Group Rate. Groups receive a 10% discount off the Advance Ticket Price. For more information about Group and Hospitality Packages.
